Today I was able to find a couple of good sources to get info from. One suvch place is the ILLiad network which allows one to request a PDF copy, or even a direct copy mailed to me via email/snail mail. Another possible source for topic information is the Catalog of government publications website. From here you can also request original publications but ones that are from a purely government source. These sources are extremely useful in finding articles, reports, books, and other types of periodicals that will be useful in the continuation of my search for topic information. For a research project these sources will be invaluable.
This is a dissertation by a man named Antonio Scott Thompson. In his dissertation his primary argument is that the American government not only met Geneva Convention standards, but exceeded them during World War 2 when concerning German Prisoners of War. Although I know he does reference times in wars where America did not treat POWs as well as this.

Written by a woman named Barbara Schmitter Heisler, she discusses the contrast by which Mexican migrant workers and German POWs had been treated and affected during workers' programs instituted by the United States to supplement their workforce. Not only this but some of the lasting effects of the program called the Bracero Program.
